Greater Goods is seeking a quick learning, organized, smart, adaptable person to join our small team and help us grow. As we expand our product line and sales channels, we are in need of someone who is willing to fill a variety of roles and help us with production, packaging and general all around help in our multi-faceted production space. This job is ideal for someone interested in learning the in and outs of a small business and who is very open to different tasks throughout the day and not intimidated by shifting responsibilities.

Job Summary
The job entails two main responsibilities from day to day but might expand to other assistance for the company.
Packaging of product
Handling and packaging of products such as chocolate bars, confections, tinctures, gummies, topicals and other associated items, including food handling, boxing, organizing and fulfilling to get products ready for shipment; tracking and reporting of physical inventory of products as stock gets low; as well as inventory of packaging, labeling and other office essentials, along with assistance with printing and managing data sticker labeling.
Production
Handling of items during production, including but not limited to gummy production in terms of final stages of removing from moulds, applying sanding sugar, quality control and “cleaning up” of feet on gummies, assessing readiness for packaging; handling and quality control of chocolate bars and confections, including but not limited to application of inclusions to assist chocolatier; filling of topicals into tins in preparation to complete packaging tasks. Other associated tasks may arise in the course of product development that include light assistance with production. In addition, this role will also support the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing items used for production, putting items away, sweeping, taking garbage out, and assisting with general upkeep of the facility.
Additional responsibilities are expected to arise to provide general support to the small team, and meeting and exceeding set standards is required and welcomed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills, including computer usage
- Willingness to fill a varied role and be adaptable
- Ability to switch tasks quickly and comfortably if needed
- Punctuality and reliability
- Supportive of a small business that is in a growth stage with rapidly changing needs
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting of up to 30 pounds
- Able to sit for extended periods of time
- Able to do repetitive tasks without incurring injury

Job Type
Part time to start, with the possibility of full time (10-20 hours per week)
Location: North Piedment neighborhood in NE PDX
Hourly, $17-$20 DOE
Flexible hours. No weekends or holidays.
